Our History

In 2009, ICTS was established in Cyprus, Nicosia.

In 2011, the company commenced operations in Larnaca Airport after winning a contract with the Department of Civil Aviation Authority (DCA) for the provision of manned guarding security at DCA headquarters. Soon after, ICTS extended its offering to also include X-ray screening training of the Police screeners at both Cyprus’ international airports, in accordance with EU Regulations.

In 2012, ICTS expanded its presence, launching security operations at Hermes Airports Ltd.

2013 saw ICTS diversifying its business into the corporate market, offering Security and Emergency Response services to a variety of businesses, from local companies through to global organisations such as CISCO Corporations and the J&P Construction Company. Leveraging on its aviation security expertise, ICTS also expended into the Maritime Security arena, inaugurating its cooperation with Limassol Marina Ltd.

2014 and 2015 saw further growth, with ICTS providing access and boarding pass control and passenger physical search and screening facilitation at checkpoints at Paphos airport. ICTS was also chosen to provide ISPS Code Advisory services and PFSO (Port Facility Security Officer) training to one of the largest energy hubs in the Mediterranean region - the VTT Vasiliko Oil & Gas Storage Terminal. Since then ICTS has been assisting numerous clients to obtain the relevant certifications from the Cypriot authorities.

In 2016, we had launched a cooperation with BLUE AIR, TUS & BlueBird, Rossiya Airlines, Aeroflot security services, as well as cooperation with the Cyprus Ports Authority for the Limassol Ports Security Plans.

In 2017, the company started cooperation with DP World for the security and access control of Limassol Port. We also set up a new subsidiary of the ICTS Group in Cyprus, ICTS AIRPORTS SECURITY Ltd and signed a contract with HERMES AIRPORTS to take over the entire new Special Security Package with certified security checks from the D.A.P. at the 2 International Airports in Larnaca and Pafos , following privatization by the state police. In the same year, we also started collaborating with QATAR, COBALT, CYPRUS.

In 2018 the company expanded its activities to Cyprus Airports by providing services to the passengers. Activities also expanded with DP World by taking physical and x-ray inspection services at the new cruise passenger station at Limassol Port. At the same time, we have made new partnerships with DHL at Larnaka Airport and for security services with MEDITERRANEAN AIRLINES
