Biarritz Pays Basque Airport has re-awarded its aviation security services contract to ICTS France for a further 2 years with a possible extension of 2 more years. ICTS France has been working with Biarritz airport since 2015 providing a range of security services, including access control for passengers and vehicles, security patrols, and hold baggage screening services.
“The trust that the airport has placed in us reflects the quality of our work and we look forward to reinforcing our successful partnership with the Airport”, said Jean-Michel Pierson, Director Southwest France Region, ICTS France.
Following an extensive tender process, Bâle Mulhouse Airport nominated ICTS France as their preferred airport security provider. ICTS France is responsible, as of 1 December 2021, for the provision of checkpoint security services for airport staff and vehicles as well as security patrols and access control. This win is in addition to the current contract for the provision of hold baggage screening.
Ranga Nadardjane, ICTS Operation Manager at Bâle Mulhouse Airport adds: “The award of this prestigious contract increases our presence at Bâle Mulhouse Airport, as we have provided hold baggage screening services since 2011. We welcome on board the 70 personnel who move across to ICTS from the previous security provider. Additional staff will be recruited and trained at the beginning of 2022.
“We are delighted to close this year, which has been another tough one due to the pandemic, with the strengthening of our position within the French Airport sector. We are now providing airport security solutions at eight airports, both large and small, across France”, said Jean-Baptiste Thelot, EVP ICTS Europe and General Manager ICTS France.
