ICTS Hellas completes a €1.4m security systems project at the Port of Souda, Crete

1 March 2016

During Summer 2015 ICTS Hellas, ICTS Europe’s Greek subsidiary was tasked with the installation of integrated security systems at the Port of Souda, near Chania in Crete. The project, of estimated value of €1.4m, is one of the country’s major maritime security systems projects.

The Port, now fully compliant with the ISPS Code and the Schengen Agreement, has a security control centre at the heart of the Port, via which all security information is transmitted in real-time. The latest security procedures and hi-tech equipment ensure that the Port is running efficiently and safely, making it an attractive destination to cruise lines.

“ICTS Hellas successfully completed the project in record time; 4 months from the award of the contract. I would like to thank the Region of Crete, the Chania Port Fund and our project partners for their cooperation with this project. It has allowed us to transform the Port to the most up-to-date integrated security port facility in Greece” said Mr. Panagiotis Kambouroglou, CEO, ICTS Hellas.
