ICTS in the spotlight as all eyes were on Darmstadt and the Rosetta mission comet landing

21 November 2014

The world watched as the European Space Agency (ESA) announced the extraordinary first ever comet landing, following a 10 year and a 6.4 billion kilometre journey through the Solar System. ICTS provided a reinforced security team for the ground-breaking event that saw global media coverage at ESA’s operations centre in Darmstadt, Germany.

“Securing the event presented complex challenges, with mission control, dignitaries event and media cover all taking place in the same location, spanning over several days. Our Frankfurt operations were extremely successful in providing the resources, skills and coordination that secured a successful event. We are proud to have played a part in this historical moment” said Boaz Derhy, Corporate Security Solutions Director of ICTS Europe.

ICTS Europe has been providing manned guarding services to ESA since 2008. Recently, ESA re-awarded to ICTS Europe the security services contract at multiple sites across 6 different European countries.
