ICTS Italy supports Delta Air Lines’ Covid-free Flights from Rome Fiumicino Airport

15 February 2021

Upon the request of Delta Air Lines,ICTS Italia has developed a digital reporting tool to efficiently record the airline’s passenger details and their Covid-19 Test documentation. All passengers, with the exception of children under the age of two are required to have a negative Covid-19 test in order to travel. This new procedure means that passengers do not need to quarantine upon on arrival at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA. The first of these Covid-free flights to Atlanta departedRome Fiumicino Airport on 20 December 2020.

ICTS personnel at check-in and boarding is responsible for the electronic filing of passengers’ records and documentation. If a passenger does not provide valid documentation, they are denied boarding and invited to do a Quick Covid Test at the Airport’s test area. The passenger can collect the results of the Test within 30 minutes.

“We are pleased to assist Delta Air Lines in their requirement to develop a procedure which makes it possible for passengers to be exempt from quarantine on arrival to Atlanta. It is a step closer to offering passengers a safer journey and it gives us great pride to be part of these developments and solutions in making air travel possible. A similar procedure has also been implemented for Alitalia’s flights departing from Rome to New York’s JFK Airport”, said Monica Salomoni, Aviation Manager ICTS Italy.
