22 February 2021

At the end of 2020 and at the invitation of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), a team from ICTS Europe Systems travelled out to Lagos, Nigeria, to introduce the ICTS’ Touchless Smart App Kiosks at four international airports’ newly-build terminals. As part of the first phase of this project, a total of 50 ICTS Touchless Smart App Kiosks were installed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, and Port Harcourt International Airport in Port Harcourt.

The Kiosks allow passengers the autonomy to safely and easily check-in using their smartphones and to print their boarding pass and baggage tag from ICTS’ Touchless Smart App Kiosks. The check-in process is completely touchless and is initiated by the passenger scanning a QR code on the kiosk.

Guy Doron, VP Global Sales, ICTS Europe said, “We are delighted to be able to bring ICTS technology to Nigeria. During the course of a month, our team successfully set-up the Kiosks and trained an operational and technical support team from our partner in Nigeria. The ICTS Kiosks are currently serving numerous airlines, including Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways and Nigeria’s local carrier, Air Peace.”

ICTS Europe Systems plans to roll out Phase 2 and 3 of the project over the next three years. This will include the introduction of the ICTS Touchless Smart App Kiosksat the Airports’ Domestic Terminals and the ICTS PassBoard solution at the departure gates.
