Re-awarded the contract at the port of Patras

23 September 2013

ICTS Hellas, ICTS Europe’s Greek subsidiary has been re-awarded the security contract for the provision of manned guarding and canine security services at the port of Patras.

“Patras is one of Greece's biggest ports, known as the gateway to the West and previously as a hub renowned for the trafficking of illegal immigrants. We initially won the contract in 2010, with the task of curbing illegal immigration into the European Union.
Our specialist canine teams supported by experienced screeners have had a significant impact on port operations, both detecting numerous clandestine immigrants and acting as an effective visible deterrent.” stated Panagiotis Gavathas, Business Development Manager of ICTS Hellas.
Strict security measures, in line with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, complimented by ICTS canine units, have resulted in significantly fewer cases of legal immigrants at the port of Patras.
