Security is a top priority for the Oil Industry

1 April 2019

ICTS Cyprus has signed a new agreement with VTT Vasiliko (VTTV). VTTV, a subsidiary of VTTI B.V., is an independent international provider of oil storage facilities in the area of Vasilikos on Cyprus’ southern coast. Strategically based in the Eastern Mediterranean, VTTV has strong business ties with Asia, North Africa and South East Europe. From 1 December 2018 the ICTS team has been responsible for the provision of security services to VTTV: access control for vehicles and persons, patrols and surveillance of installation via CCTV systems and vehicle and passenger safety checks.

ICTS Cyprus has worked with VTTV in the past, carrying out a security assessment and designing a security plan compliant with the ISPS code, for its port facilities. ICTS Hellas is well versed in the requirements of ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), an essential maritime regulation for the safety and security of ports, ships, their crew and cargo.

Panagiotis Fistedis, Managing Director, ICTS Cyprus, said, “Safety and reliability are key qualities our clients look for in a Security partner and we are delighted that VTTV has selected ICTS to support its business. During these last few months ICTS Cyprus has been involved in a number of exciting new developments, which also include the carrying out of a risk assessment and the designing of a security plan for Limassol Port on behalf of Cyprus Port Authority.”

This year ICTS Cyprus celebrates its 10th Anniversary. During the last decade it has become the leader of security and consultancy services for the aviation, maritime and critical infrastructure sectors.
