United Airlines and American Airlines return to Dublin

27 July 2020

On 7 July 2020 United Airlines’ first passenger flight took off again from Dublin Airport bound for Newark. This was the first United passenger flight since the beginning of lockdown, on 25 March 2020. ICTS UK & Ireland is responsible for the provision of security services for United Airlines’ four weekly flights from Dublin to New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport. This includes passenger screening and US Preclearance, baggage protection and aircraft guarding duties for United Airlines.

American Airlines soon followed, and landed at Dublin Airport on 10 July 2020 from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This was the first American Airlines flight to return to Dublin since the start of the pandemic. ICTS UK & Ireland provides aviation security to the airline.

Graham Clare, ICTS Station Manager at Dublin Airport says, “We are delighted to welcome back two US carriers to our operation at Dublin. Slowly but surely we are resuming a steady level of activity taking every precaution to support our long-standing partners and the Aviation Industry.”
