United Airlines selects ICTS to secure its new flights from Naples and Prague

11 November 2019

In May, United Airlines launched a new daily direct service connecting New York’s Newark Airport with Naples, Italy, and thus became the only airline to operate a direct service between the US and Naples. This was followed by the inauguration of a direct service between Prague’s Václav Havel Airport and Newark Airport on 7 June. This new route is United's first service from the Czech Republic.

ICTS Italy and ICTS Czech Republic were selected as United’s preferred security providers for these two new seasonal routes.

“ICTS’ performance during this first season in Naples has simply been outstanding! The team consistently performed very well, continuously going above and beyond to support our security and customer service requirements. I thank Lucia (Guardavaglia) for her wonderful support during this season and for having led the ICTS team amazingly well. ICTS has certainly been part of a very successful first season out of Naples and I am very thankful” said Bruno Zucchi, General Manager Airport Operations – Switzerland & Southern Europe Seasonal Stations, United Airlines.

ICTS Italy’s Station Manager at Naples Airport, Lucia Guardavaglia, said “It has been a great pleasure to have collaborated with United and I thank them for their continuous support and cooperation.”

ICTS Czech Republic’s General Manager, Erik Just, said “We are very pleased to be part of United’s strategy to strengthen their international route network. We are keen to welcome United back next year and to continue our successful partnership.”

These new seasonal flights ran until 4 and 26 October 2019 respectively.
