US Presidential visit at Brussels Airport

21 June 2021

Increased activity was experienced by ICTS at Brussels Airport as US President Joe Biden travelled in and out of the airport to attend two days of summits with NATO and the European Union from 13 to 15 June 2021. ICTS Belgium was responsible for the safety and security of the entire site during the arrival and departure of the US President. In close collaboration with Brussels Airport and the Belgian and US Governments, the entire operation ran seamlessly.

Hans Verbruggen, Duty Manager SEC, Brussels Airport Company remarked, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself” (Henry Ford 1863-1947).

“These are special moments that make me very proud to be a Managing Director of such a wonderful team. In just 10 days the team planned and made all necessary arrangements to ensure safety and security during the Presidential visit. This milestone event follows the renew of our successful partnership with Brussels Airport earlier this year. It is events like these which confirm ICTS as a global security provider. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with the Belgian and US Governments”, said Eddy Schauvaerts, Managing Director, ICTS Belgium.

“A big thank you and well done to everyone who participated in the smooth running of such a high-profile event. I am very proud of our team for their dedication and their outstanding performance. ICTS looks forward to the opportunity to support the Airport on future high-profile occasions”, said Steve Denis,  BAC Site Manager, ICTS Belgium.
