  • Adjusted Operational Tactics such as increasing frequency or repositioning guard coverage

  • Technology upgrades or additions

  • Mitigation measures and repairs

CASE STUDY: HOW AN FCS RISK REVIEW CREATED A 135% RETURN ON INVESTMENT

Problem: Assessment found fence scaling aides close to fence line that could be used to scale fencing

Solution: Remove several trees close to fence and add anti-scale mitigation to lighting poles

Impact: Before changes could be made, perpetrator used fence scaling aides to enter an access-controlled building and assaulted an officer

Problem: Assessment noted the guard house was missing and had substandard, ineffective bollard protection

Solution: Add at minimum, a rated bollard(s) of at least M40/P1 around the guard house

Impact: Before changes were made, a vehicle struck the guard house causing extensive damage that cost more than the solution

The attack on a Guard & Damage to the Guard House could have been avoided. Costs of an attack and rebuilding the Guard House outweighed the preparation costs by 135%!

ICTS Italy Supports UEFA Supercup Final in Udine, Italy

In August, ICTS Italy was contacted by the Italian Football Federation, on behalf of UEFA, to support the UEFA Euro Supercup final in Udine, Italy. The request, which came through Venice Airport, was to provide specialized security services at the Udine stadium.

To meet this need, ICTS Italy deployed a group of certified staff trained in the use of X-ray machines, with colleagues coming from Milan Malpensa, Pisa, and Verona.

From August 10 to 13, our team managed a dedicated access gate for staff, media, and broadcast crews. Over the course of the event, around 4,000 people passed through our checkpoint, with the busiest day being August 13, when Tottenham faced Paris Saint-Germain in the final (PSG won on penalties).

Our efforts did not go unnoticed — the Federation sent us a message of appreciation, recognizing the professionalism and dedication of our team. Following is an excerpt from the message sent to the ICTS Station Manager at Venice Airport: “I would like to reiterate my thanks and those of FIGC for the excellent work done for the event. Thanks to your contribution, we managed to make it a success, with very positive results, so much so that we received widespread satisfaction from local authorities and football officials….Thank you again for your collaboration”.

From pilot project to long-term success: ICTS Germany is proud to announce the official launch of its partnership with the Municipal Public Order Service (KOD) in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

The collaboration follows an extensive pilot phase that tested the deployment of a service dog alongside public order officers to evaluate its effectiveness during challenging or high-conflict situations. The results proved highly successful, with smooth operations and consistently positive results, leading to a second phase that reaffirmed these findings.

As a result, the City of Gelsenkirchen decided to permanently implement the service dog program, inspiring other municipalities to follow this innovative model. Today, the concept stands as a sustainable and widely recognized example of modern public service support.

A very special thanks goes to Mr. Florian Pichon, Operations Manager at ICTS Germany, whose professionalism, dedication, and on-site leadership were instrumental throughout both pilot phases.

The service dogs are professionally trained by ICTS Germany, ensuring they meet the highest operational and behavioural standards required for public service deployments.

ICTS Germany provides conflict & violence prevention training to children

The ICTS Germany Academy is proud to highlight “Children Are Unbeatable,” a training program that has been empowering students for over 15 years. Our trainer Ahmet Usta, one of the key developers of the concept, has been successfully conducting the program throughout this time. The training helps students of all ages and school types manage conflicts fairly, control their emotions, stand up for themselves and others, and act with respect. Teachers also receive practical guidance on handling conflicts professionally, de-escalating tense situations, and responding in a legally sound way.

The latest training, held from September 3–5, 2025, introduced third graders to the art of conflict and violence prevention. Through role plays, breathing exercises, and teamwork challenges, the children learned to stay calm under pressure, understand group dynamics, and stand up for themselves and others—all while having fun. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive: the children left empowered, inspired, and ready to put their new skills into practice.

"With decades of experience in security, prevention, and hands-on work with children and young people, our team brings both expertise and passion to this program. At ICTS Germany, we firmly believe that prevention and education are the foundation of real safety—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand ‘Children Are Unbeatable’ across Germany next year, initially focusing on urban areas where the demand and potential impact are greatest", said Andreas Stauder, CEO of ICTS Germany.

As the summer season in civil aviation ends, Q3 2025 stands out as one of the busiest periods for our network.

As the summer season in civil aviation ends, Q3 2025 stands out as one of the busiest periods for our network. Across nearly 60 European stations, ICTS handled millions of passengers, countless flights, aircraft, catering meals, and baggage – all amid consistently elevated security alert levels.

Throughout the season, our department provided extensive support through ongoing consultations, Bulletins, and targeted training, while audits ensured the highest operational standards were maintained.

Thanks to the commitment of our teams and the implementation of the Greenflow passenger pre-screening model for Delta passengers, the season passed without disruptions. Greenflow played a key role in enhancing passenger flow, improving satisfaction, and strengthening client confidence.

In the third quarter, our team actively supported several key quality initiatives across Europe. Preparations for Quality System Audits took place in Brussels, Copenhagen, and Prague. Meanwhile, the Information Security Management System - ISMS at ICTS Europe HQ was successfully recertified for ISO 27001.

Training also remained a strong focus, with supervisors for TSA-regulated activities certified in Munich, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Prague, Keflavik and Brussels.

General Security, a rapidly expanding area of the company’s business and operations, continues to receive strong support from our team. In Q3, this was reflected primarily through two quality audits conducted at European Space Agency (ESA) sites, an audit at the Starknet Foundation, an entity dedicated to advancing a blockchain enhancement tool,, and the joint development of specialized training modules in collaboration with Electio, the CBT producer for ICTS.

The activities and achievements outlined above highlight the PQCT department’s ongoing dedication to upholding excellence in quality, compliance, and professional development throughout our network.

Our teams don’t just protect sites they protect business continuity- that’s what allows clients to operate with confidence and trust.”

Drawing on ICTS’ heritage in aviation and transport, the session explored how ICTS Ireland and the wider ICTS Europe Group is redefining the provision of physical security services to global data centres. As a Group, ICTS Europe secures 200+ data centre sites across 13 countries.

ICTS Deutschland and United Airlines proudly celebrated the 20th anniversary of the United Airlines route connecting Berlin to Newark Airport, a milestone highlighting two decades of successful partnership.

After the closure of Tegel in November 2020, the route successfully transitioned to the modern Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), continuing to offer passengers a direct link between Germany’s capital and the Big Apple.

“This anniversary is a milestone to our enduring collaboration and commitment to connecting Berlin with one of the world’s most iconic cities,” said Ilka Päßler, ICTS Station Manager at Berlin Airport.“We are proud to have supported this route through its evolution over the past 20 years.”

The celebration reflects not only the longevity of the route but also the close partnership between ICTS Deutschland and United Airlines, a relationship built on reliability, efficiency, and international cooperation.
