Exciting Growth and Activity Update for U.S. Carriers Clients – Summer 2025

The start of the 2025 season marks a significant period of growth for ICTS Europe, with substantial expansion in our airline operations across our US Carriers’ clients.

In May, we successfully launched operations at four new stations: Faro, Portugal, and Palermo, Italy for United Airlines; Catania, Italy, for Delta Air Lines; and we welcomed American Airlines back to Edinburgh after a six-year hiatus. This momentum carried into June with the inauguration of a new station in Bilbao, Spain, for United Airlines, as well as the introduction of new support services for United at Nuuk Airport in Greenland.

These efforts complement the launch of several new seasonal routes, along with the reinstatement of more than 85 seasonal flights for U.S. carriers—marking a substantial expansion of our operational footprint and highlighting our ability to swiftly scale in response to client demand.

In parallel with this expansion, we launched the innovative Greenflow process in partnership with Delta Air Lines.

The Greenflow process improves passenger service and security protocols and enhances passenger flow. This revolutionary change will reshape security service delivery across relevant Delta locations, with full deployment expected by beginning of July. This project is a top priority for Delta Air Lines’ leadership, reflecting a substantial joint investment in IT.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to our teams in Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Spain, and Scandinavia for their outstanding efforts in establishing these new operations. The positive feedback received from our clients and TSA speaks volumes about their hard work and dedication. I also want to recognize all teams at our 70+ operational locations for their seamless ramp-up to meet increased demand.

Special thanks go to ICTS Europe Systems and the PQCT Department for rising to the challenges of both the APM-Flex 2.0 implementation and the large-scale Greenflow project, the latter of which has been recognized and greatly appreciated by senior leadership at Delta Air Lines.

Air Canada, and our other airline clients also either resumed or introduced new flights to their summer schedules of which some you can read about in this newsletter.

This is shaping up to be our busiest summer yet. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment”, said Ronen Remetz, EVP, ICTS Europe.

As part of its expanded 2025 transatlantic schedule, Air Canada has launched new routes from Montreal to Porto, Portugal, and Naples, Italy.

As part of its expanded 2025 transatlantic schedule, Air Canada has launched new routes from Montreal to Porto, Portugal, and Naples, Italy. ICTS was awarded the contract to provide security services for these flights, which commenced on June 5 and June 7, respectively.

Andre Flora, Operations Manager of ICTS Portugal, welcomed the expansion of Air Canada’s presence in Porto: “We have been working with Air Canada since 2014 and are proud to support their growing network in Portugal. This second transatlantic route to Porto is an exciting development for the region and for our team, who continue to deliver high-quality service and security standards. We look forward to a successful summer season and to strengthening our long-standing partnership with Air Canada.”

Monica Salomoni, Operations Manager at ICTS Italia, added: “These are truly exciting weeks, with so many new openings taking place, including this new Air Canada route to Montreal. Our teams are working hard, bringing their usual professionalism and dedication to every new challenge. We’re proud of what we’re building together every day!”

In addition, Air Canada resumed its seasonal service from Prague Airport to Toronto on June 7.

“I'm pleased to share that Air Canada successfully launched its inaugural flight from Prague on June 7. The start-up was smooth and well-executed, marking a strong beginning to our renewed collaboration with Air Canada. We’re especially happy to welcome this client back after our last cooperation in 2019, and we’re confident this partnership will bring great results moving forward,” said Erik Just, General Manager of ICTS Czech.

Air Canada has also relaunched seasonal service between London Heathrow and Ottawa—a route last operated five years ago—and introduced a new seasonal connection between Edinburgh and Montreal. Additionally, the airline has increased frequencies to Rome and Athens, boosted capacity on the Stockholm Arlanda–Toronto route, and upgraded its Madrid–Toronto service to a daily frequency.

Furthermore, seasonal flights to Nice, Venice, and Manchester have returned. Altogether, these changes represent more than 2,000 additional flights on top of Air Canada's regular year-round operations.

ICTS is proud to support Air Canada across its newly launched and expanded routes and wishes the airline a smooth and successful summer season.

IMAGE DE FOND PQCT.jpg

QUALITY MONITORING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

To ensure consistent quality and identify opportunities for improvement, the PQCT team closely monitors the Greenflow process through rigorous daily reporting mechanisms, comprehensive data analysis, and targeted on-site visits.

These visits have already been conducted at several major European hubs. The feedback gathered from Delta Airlines, passengers, and ICTS staff has been overwhelmingly positive, with particular appreciation for the modernization and innovation the project has brought to the pre-screening process.

Alongside the Greenflow implementation, June 2025 brought increased security alerts across the aviation sector. In line with historical trends, this period presented elevated risks to airline and airport operations due to terrorist threats, civil unrest, and violence, particularly in popular tourist destinations during the peak summer travel season.  The PQCT responded by intensifying efforts to ensure strict compliance with established procedures and best practices, emphasizing heightened security vigilance and prompt reporting of suspicious activities.

PQCT TRAINING INITIATIVES: APRIL - JUNE 2025
